MY REVIEW OF STUBER

Last night I took Jaz to see a special screening of Stuber before it was released tonight.

By the way, just a heads up…This is going to be a very straight forward review of the movie.

I am going to refrain from putting any fucking spoilers in this.

Also, I am not going to over analyze this like a lot of people do with reviews. You get the gist and that’s it.

Ohhh, that’s a good tagline.

I digress.

Last night, I took Jaz (my amazing wife, for people who don’t know) to see the special screening of Stuber before it comes out, Thursday July 11th.

It did not disappoint.

Stuber is a terrific buddy cop movie with non stop action and jokes. Mostly insults, which is why I loved it.

Kumail Nanjiani was ripping on David Bautista’s character the entire movie. Even at the end when he somewhat trolls him.

It was amazing.

David’s character, Vic, rips Kumail’s character, Stu/Steve/Stuber, for the entire movie. Vic does it in the more macho, masculine way of calling him a pussy and teasing him for being so emotional.

Stu hits right back with Vic not being in touch with his emotions. Usually you don’t see in movies and I loved it.

The dynamic of the two characters relationship was fucking stupendous. No other way to put it.

The action didn’t stop and the laughter didn’t either.

I found myself laughing at certain jokes that the other movie goers were not. I also didn’t laugh as hard as they did on other jokes.

The point being - there are jokes for everyone’s sense of humor.

There was one part that Jaz was crying laughing and it was amazing to see that. I didn’t share in on it because it was a joke about The Neverending Story.

Jaz is a huge fan, me not so much. That creepy white dog dragon thingy creeped me out as a kid.

I digress.

The buddy cop/action-comedy movie has been made a million times. But Stuber did not disappoint.

Mostly because the story was extremely unique.

The jokes were on point. The action was awesome. There was even a few “Ohhhhh!” moments. Mostly brains being blown out.

The acting by David and Kumail was spectacular. They did a great job in their characters. They had great chemistry which is key in these movies.

The funny thing was Jaz mentioned at the beginning of the movie when we were sitting in our seats waiting. She said, “I can’t see him as anything else as Drax.”

I have to say after the movie, he did an amazing job as not being Drax and being believable as another character.

David Bautista has come a long way since he started acting in movies.

Big ups to the jacked Freddy Mercury.

You’ll see what I mean when you watch the movie.

This movie is worth going to the theater to see. The hour and a half is well worth.

It flies by actually.

That is kudos to the flow of the movie. There were no slow scenes really. When there wasn’t action, there were jokes, and when there weren’t jokes or action it moved through those parts fast.

The story itself was great. Very unique.

There is one predictable part, but beyond that everything kept moving away from the normal storyline. Meaning in some movies you can predict what is going to happen.

In Stuber, when you thought it was going to go one way, it went another direction. The story kept you on the toes. I really dug that.

Anyway, before I overanalyze the shit out of this movie, just go fucking see it.

It’s great! You’ll love it.

Your wife, girlfriend, side piece, husband, boyfriend, cabana boy will love this. Bring the whole love circle, triangle, octagon whatevs.

Not really an under 13 years old movie though.

I’ll definitely be buying this when it comes out on iTunes. This movie will be one I could watch over and over again.

Go see it!
